Skills, experience, and goals

These questions are optional. Answering them will help us to understand more about what you would like to get out of your volunteering, and what you have to offer, so we can provide information about projects which most closely meet your specific needs and aims.

What you want from volunteering

Why do you want to volunteer? What do you hope to gain from the experience?

Training & work experience

Have you done any work (paid or voluntary), or training which may be relevant?

Other skills & experience

Are there other skills or experience you would like to use or develop in your volunteering?

Qualifications & languages

Do you have any qualifications which may be relevant? What languages do you speak?

Other information

Is there anything else you think it would be useful for the Volunteer Centre to know about?

Additional support

The Volunteer Centre may be able to offer you additional support to get started with volunteering. Confidential meeting space is available and all enquiries will be dealt with in a confidential and sensitive manner.

General additional support

Accessibility

Guidance is available on the accessibility of projects, their flexibility and on disclosing personal information; practical support is available for volunteers who have additional support needs related to a health or disability issue or to housing or substance misuse concerns.

Volunteer Centre services are accessible to wheelchair users. Please advise us of any individual access needs below (for example, information or forms in an alternative format, communication support).

Previous convictions

Please note that previous convictions will not automatically prevent you from volunteering, but projects may need to be aware of them, in particular if your chosen role will bring you in to contact with a vulnerable client group.

New Deal

Potential volunteers who are on the New Deal provision are provided with additional support with finding placements, job search, CVs and job applications.

Finally

The Volunteer Centre may periodically contact you by email or phone to ask for feedback on your experiences of working with the Centre or your volunteering, or to provide further information about Volunteer Centre activities.

If you submit this form, you agree that you are happy to provide this information to the Volunteer Centre and receive information about possible volunteering opportunities.
